In a regular game, there will be 2 teams and you would shoot the ball on the opponent’s hoop. However, in this machine, all you have to do is shoot the ball to the ring without anyone trying to defend you or foul you, this can also be played alone or with friends. This machine is very common in many arcades here in the Philippines because many Filipinos love to play basketball. This homemade machine provides entertainment to the user. This project uses an IR sensor, piezo buzzer, servo motors, and LEDs.

Inspiration
The thing that inspired us to make this robotics application is that we three in the group both share an interest in playing basketball and we also enjoyed the game, we also want it to be a unique small version of the arcade that can probably be transported easily and to be also unique in a way that it is not very common among the projects.
About the Makers
All of us have the same interest in the sport of Basketball. We like to watch different basketball games and sometimes talk about them. John also has an interest in coding, computer, and techs and is often dedicated to doing activities related to these. Because of these factors, we are able to come up with an idea to build something combining these 2 interests.
This originated from each member's thoughts and ideas of making a mini version of what we usually see in arcade games. Also, one of the ideas that brought this project to life is the thought of making something that can be substituted for throwing used papers in the trash bins and the use of shooting skills to shoot accurately. One thing that makes it unique about our work compared to the typical basketball arcade game is that it is the smaller version of it and it is pretty much convenient to play for people.
It is not like we can go to arcades in the malls every day, but by making this thing we are now able to find entertainment easily and to lessen boredom in our homes and anywhere.
