Candy Dispenser

Candy Dispenser

  • Maker/s: Greche Peralta, Denise Catherine Alonzo

Materials

The materials that we have actually used are the used cardboard, old illustration board, glue gun, tube, paint, glue, papers, construction papers, cartolinas, and a cutter. We also printed decorations while using the recycled paper available. While for the robotics part of the machine, we have also actually used 1 servo motor, 1 infrared sensor, jumper wires, resistors, 1 breadboard, 1 piezo buzzer, 3 LEDs(red, green, yellow), and 1 Arduino microcontroller.

Inspiration

What inspired us to make this robotics application is that our other options weren't easy to make and isn't technically a robot. We decided to make a candy dispenser because way back then I and my partner had a talk about candies and the sudden idea and thought came to our minds. With this idea, we settled and made it our goal to recreate a gumball machine that can be seen in arcades or malls, but a bit smaller in size, can be made from scratch, and can be powered and made with the use of Arduino.

About the Makers

Greche Peralta and Denise Catherine Alonzo have been an inseparable partner and share a common interest with each other. Denise has a wide experience in leadership and is good at script writing and composition, meanwhile, Greche on the other hand is a perfectionist who aims to have a creative product and is good at crafting, coding, and wiring. Together in this project, they have provided and showcased how they made use of their distinct and unique skills in creating their candy dispenser. Both of them perfected their roles and were able to balance out their responsibilities.
